My Story and How My Friends Have Helped

About My Business // Life // Videos

Last week, I was asked to give a spotlight speech during our Women Entrepreneurs Organization meeting. Each month, two businesses deliver spotlights as the warm-up acts for our guest speaker. I was honored and a bit nervous. After all, I haven’t spoken in front of large crowds for over seven years. The arrival of Duncan changed so much in my world!

Having such a new business, I wondered where I should focus my speech, too. However, I didn’t wonder for long. Because as I thought about it, two things kept coming up: My story–or how I wound up launching Liz Ness Studio–and the friends that have helped me along the way. So, that’s where I focused my speech, ending it with a message of thanks to all of my friends: The ones I visit frequently, the ones I’ve made online, the new and the seasoned. And, because this speech is about you, I thought I’d share it here, as well.

Beautiful speech Liz! Reminded me a lot of my all time favorite speech by Steve Jobs about connecting the dots.
